Job Description
Choral and General Music Teacher
Rutland Intermediate School
Rutland City Public Schools seeks an energetic and versatile Choral and General Music teacher to begin in August of 2020. The successful candidate will join a group of music educators who are active in curriculum development and PLC work. The position will include choral ensembles in grades 4-6 and general music in grades 3-6. The teacher will be expected to nurture understanding and appreciation of music and its role in the lives of students. Knowledge of differing styles and repertoire of music is required. The teacher will present student performances and participate in local music festivals and other professional activities. The Rutland Public Schools and the community support and value the arts. We strive to nurture the interests of each student in and through all areas of the curriculum. We are looking for a self-motivated flexible team player. Strong piano skills are a plus. Applicants with a master's degree or higher are preferred.
