Program or Department Profile:
WestEd's Information Technology department develops, deploys and maintains comprehensive, high-quality computing, communications, infrastructure, and business application solutions in support of employees located in various locations nationwide.

Position Overview:
This position serves as a point of contact for HR, Benefit and Payroll functional areas. Key responsibilities include supporting the implementation of new features, and maintenance of the organization’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This role also requires full knowledge of the system implementation life cycle, best implementation practices and an understanding of the building blocks/integration of HRIS applications. Serves as a key liaison with vendors, third-party partners and internal stakeholders.Supports upgrades and roll out of new HRIS functionality.

Essential Functions:
1.Configuration: Create valid values for HR/Benefit/Payroll tables and maintain HRIS tables. Document process and results.Apply industry and product knowledge to optimize system configurations.
2.Ensure Data Integrity:Research and resolve data issues. Develop data integrity strategy.
3.Issue Resolution:Provide support for HRIS, including researching and resolving HRIS problems, unexpected results or process flaws; recommending solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
4.Interfaces Support:Ensure the weekly interfaces to the providers are accurate and submitted in timely manner. Provide primary support for the weekly interfaces
5.Workflow Process:Define/Recommend process improvements, innovative solutions, policy changes and/or major variations from established policy that must be approved by appropriate leadership prior to implementation. 6.Reports/Queries: Analyze, develop, design, and implement metrics and reports to support business processesas needed.
7.Testing:Create, execute and maintain functional test scripts and test plans.Document and evaluate test results, track and manage defects and troubleshoot issues.
8.Training: Develop user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Train clients on new processes/functionality. Train new system users.

Minimum Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies or equivalent experience.
2. 5+ years of progressive experience in applications support, software implementation, database and application development, including web services.
3..Experience implementing business systems in a SaaS environment
4. Minimum five (5) years of information technology experience required
5. Technical knowledge of integrating disparate applications
6. Experience with formalized testing methodology and use of automated testing tools
7. Ability to analyze business and data needs or problems
8. Strong interpersonal skillsStrong oral and written communication abilities with all levels of management, employees, and customers
9..Experience with the strategic design, implementation, and maintenance of business systems.
10. Demonstrated professional maturity and organizational political astuteness combined with tact, diplomacy, common sense, sound judgment and confidentiality.
11. Adept at developing positive relationships with vendors, third-party partners and stakeholders.
12. Must be a strong individual contributor as well as an effective team member and project leader.
13. Must be a self-starter, an independent thinker, action-oriented and self-motivated.
14. Experience with Ultimate Software required
15. Experience with Business Intelligence Tools required
16. Cognos reporting software experience required
17. Experience with Time Management System preferred
18. Experience with Talent Mgmt/Recruiting and Onboarding preferred

This position is at a WestEd grade level G. Compensation is competitive, depending on experience.
