Education Manager Position

George Community Services, Inc. is looking to hire an Education Manager.
Fort George is a Head Start and Pre-School Program located in Manhattan and has been in operation since 1981.

Candidate must have:

• A Master’s Degree in Early Childhood or related field
•  Permanent certificate in B-2
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience

Job Description:

• Candidate will monitor and supervise the education program.
• Will ensure teachers are completing lesson plans and entering valid data into Teaching Strategies GOLD for positive child outcomes.
• Ensure all screenings are completed within the 45 day requirement.
• Conduct Curriculum Collaboration meetings with teachers to ensure lesson plans are implemented appropriately and effectively,
• Support teachers in making referrals to Committee on Pre-School Special Education.
