Job Title: Coordinator, Grants

Schedule: Hours vary

Hourly Rate: Starts at $25.354

Position Objective:

Support portfolio of grants; this includes administration of ongoing grants, projecting fund accounting, identification and development of high quality proposals for all types of grant including, but not limited to, government, non-profit, foundations, and for-profit opportunities, and the coordination of grant evaluation programs and reporting.

Essential Functions:

- Lead grant development process, including budget development and timelines, editing grant application documents to finalization, submitting grant applications to meet established timelines, and tracking and documenting status of grant progress.

- Work with individual and multidisciplinary groups of staff and school/dept. leadership to develop new proposals

- Assist with budget development and formatting of proposals to meet grant requirements and guidelines.

- Provide administrative oversight including negotiating terms and conditions of awards and sub-awards and monitoring them for compliance with grant standards

- If necessary, provide training to staff related to grant usage and administration

- Coordinate the data collection process for grants and necessary reporting on grants as requested by funders for evaluation purposes.

- Work with supervision and programming teams to build effective strategies and systems to enhance communication between grant-funded programming sites and families

- Ensure grant recipients are in compliance with grant requirements

Education Requirements:

- Bachelors in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field

- Or relevant work experience

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

- Knowledge with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook

- Effective time management and organizational skills

- Effective communication skills

- Strong attention to detail

- Effectively handle multiple demands and competing deadlines

- The ability to take responsibility for one's own performance

- Work collaboratively with others on a team

- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information

- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred

- Previous experience in education or non-profit preferred

- Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds
