Hours: 8 hours per day
Rate: $29.41 per hour

Purpose
To provide functional and technical management and analysis of data and data systems for district departments. To analyze district requirements of data systems, translating requirements into technical solutions to meet district objectives.

Skills/Training Required:
  • Bachelor of Science, preferred in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or closely related field, or equivalent specialized training and experience.Demonstrated understanding or school business processes and student information management.Preferred experience working in K-12 school districts.Knowledge of and experience with data programs including spreadsheets, databases and programming interfaces with data systems.Working knowledge of relational database management (SQL, etc.).Experience with student information systems, human resources and financial management systems.Knowledge and skills to work with technology vendors and education entities to develop creative data integration solutions.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete and abstract variables.Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or list form.Project and change management skills.Certification and/or licensing appropriate to the position.Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.Ability to exercise initiative and independent judgment in carrying out work requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The focus within the scope of duties and responsibilities below will shift to align with strategic projects.
Systems Administration
• Coordinates the administration of district data management systems including student information and assessment, financial services, human resources, facilities, food services and technology services systems.
• Leads system maintenance, data manipulation, reporting, user account administration, user training, system and data audits, and documentation.
• Assessment and interpretation of needs of data systems to support district operations, strategic initiatives, and board goals.
• Communicate with district administration in regards to changes to data systems and possible impacts to the district.
Data Integration
• Administration of learning application rostering system.
• Administration of system account provisioning systems.
Data Analysis
• Development of systems to acquire, analyze and present data in actionable formats.
• Develop user friendly and secure web portals for transformation, analysis and presentation of data.
• Assist departments with research, analysis, extraction, transport, and presentation of data.
Data Management
• Administration of technology department databases (SQL).
• Analyzes data to ensure the accuracy and integrity of system data.
• Assists departments with state and federal reporting and audit processes.
Department Support
• Works as a member of the Technology Services Department team to meet the needs of the department.
• Keeps current with industry practices.
• Performs other related services as assigned.

• Establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with diverse student, staff, parent and community populations.
• Maintain regular attendance at work and work activities and is punctual in meeting deadlines, attending meetings, and following schedule.
