Director of Student Achievement

General Responsibilities: Assists the Department of Student Achievement and the Department of Student Services on various communication projects. Responsibilities include writing, editing, public relations, social media, email marketing, website management.

Essential Duties:

Plans, creates, and posts regular written, visual, and video content for organization's social media channels.

Writes and edits content for newsletters, blog, social media, and other digital outreach.

Logs, edits, writes, and publishes 'Celebration Stories' every week.

Provides support with event-related marketing and communication tasks.

Performs duties and special projects as assigned.

Requisite Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to navigate various multimedia software.

Ability to navigate school approved social media platforms.

Ability to creatively represent information.

Skilled in written communication.

Ability to plan and prioritize work.

Academic background in communications, marketing, social media public relations, research, and writing.

Requisite Education and Experience:

Current Osbourn High School junior or senior. Recent Osbourn High School graduates may be considered.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and desire to take initiative on assigned projects.

Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and video editing preferred.

Strong customer service skills.

Physical Requirements:

Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physically capable of using and operating various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. Some climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, or repetitive motions required.
