Successful candidates will have:
  • Love and passion for teaching and learning
  • Extensive knowledge of the content and methodology for teaching through inquiry
  • Three years teaching experience, experience in an urban setting preferred.
  • Successful experience with providing professional development
  • Extensive knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and PA Core Standards
  • Experience using assessment results to inform instruction
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong work ethic
  • Organizational skills, strategic planning skills, and efficiency in meeting deadlines


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support a culture of reflective practice among teachers.
  • Support teachers in the implementation of rigorous and engaging teaching through planning, co-teaching, modeling, and providing feedback.
  • Design and implement professional development at the individual, small group, and large group levels.
  • Assist teachers in aligning their curriculum, teaching, and assessments with the PA Core Standards.
  • Engage in required professional learning for coaches.
  • Formulate and manage a budget that validates Propel’s commitment to meaningful, engaging, relevant, and rigorous learning.
  • Coordinate various assessments; including scheduling, materials organization, training, and analysis of results.
  • Serve as a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic member of the school leadership team.
  • Serve as a resource in identifying appropriate instructional strategies and interventions to improve student achievement for all students.

  • Act 114 FBI Clearance*
  • Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance*
  • Mandated Reporter Training
  • Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure
  • Act 24 Arrest and Conviction Disclosure
