Here's what you need to know:
The Associate Director of School Operations (ADSO) supports the Director of Campus Operations (DCO) at KIPP New Jersey's first high school in Newark, Newark Collegiate Academy. The ADSO will work across several operational functions in order to ensure the best possible environment for teaching and learning.  Among the ADSO's primary responsibilities are Budget Management and Purchasing, Athletics Program Management, and School Wide systems and structures.  

Must haves:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to build and execute project plans for school-wide events, projects, and systems
  • Ability to proactively problem solve; anticipate challenges before they occur
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and generating creative solutions
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Strong organization skills and meticulous attention to detail
  • Customer service orientation
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Commitment to do whatever it takes to ensure our teachers and students have what they need to be successful
Here's what you'll be doing:
Budget Management and Purchasing
  • Manage school inventories, purchase school-wide supplies, and complete receiving 
  • Support school teams in managing sub-budget lines 
  • Manage Standing Purchase Orders and review Aged Encumbrance Reports 
Athletics Program Management 
  • Manage compliance of school's coaching personnel, including onboarding, contracts, and payroll 
  • Support Athletics Director with scheduling, third party vendor coordination, and purchasing
  • Manage Athletics Budget and Student Activity Funds 
Team and Vendor Management 
  • Manage Campus aide
  • Act as liaison between third party Food Service Authority and manage Lunch Balances and FRPL Program 
Family Communication 
  • Create and distribute regular family communication, including academic, behavioral, and social information 
  • Maintain school resource page with updated information 
School Wide Systems and Structures
  • Manage building repairs and Capital Expenditures projects, including associated vendors 
  • Monitor and provide Tier 1 Tech support to school
  • Build, roll out, and monitor systems for arrival, dismissal, and meals, including progress monitoring and providing feedback
