Whittle School & Studios is an ambitious project to modernize education and build the world's best and most innovative environment for human learning and development. About the Position
Event Marketing Intern, Washington DC Campus
Whittle School & Studios is seeking a part-time Intern to join our DC Campus team at our Van Ness location. The Intern will assist with event planning and marketing as we execute on a robust year of recruitment activities. This is a great role for a student studying event planning or hospitality management. The position will join a department of five and report to the Marketing Manager, Washington DC Campus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Maintain event calendar working with multiple constituencies (Marketing, Admission, outside vendors, etc.).
  • Assist on event execution including event prep, attending events, and clean-up.
  • Work with Catering, Facilities, and Operations teams, as needed, to book services and gain approvals.
  • Assist with event registration and event-related data entry.
  • Assist with creation of event-related marketing assets - evites, flyers, signage, etc.
  • Serve as point person for amateur photographic content (i.e. document events with cell phone photography).
Desired Qualifications
  • In progress on a Bachelor's degree or Master's degree program
  • 1-2 years of internship experience is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Innovative, collaborative, and a team player
  • Strong communications skills in person, via email, and over the phone
Compensation 
Depending on experience, Whittle School & Studios offers a competitive hourly salary. Additionally, you will gain valuable on the job training for events management and marketing, and you'll have the opportunity to attend events at some unique locations, including corporation headquarters and international embassies.
