The Purchasing Assistant (Temporary) supports the purchasing department by coordinating purchases of goods, materials and services for Corporate and Field operations. Executing purchase orders, following up on deliveries and communicating to the requester and to our supply base. The approximate duration of this role is 9 months.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Communicate with LCG field organization regarding: product assortment, and current cost of goodss.
  • Interact with Supplier base for purchases of goods, cost of goods and timing of deliveries and/or services.
  • Navigate and assist in managing sku's on our eCommerce Platform (CoreXpand)
  • General purchasing functions including:
    • Receive and process purchase requests, obtain specifications, solicit and analyze quotes for best quality / pricing / delivery
    • Set-up services and accounts for LCG's field organization.
    • Execute purchase orders / change orders
    • Review and approve invoices, assist A/P with reconciliation of invoice discrepancies
    • Maintain PeopleSoft requisitions for the PO process
 
Requirements:
  • H.S Diploma required
  • Minimum of 1 year in purchasing, or related experience
