Qualifications Required:
  • Candidates must possess a Permanent OR Professional New York State Teaching Certificate
    (Special Education Preferred) AND
  • Candidates must possess a New York State School District Leader (SDL) OR School District Administrator (SDA) Certificate OR
  • Candidates must possess a New York State Certification as a School Administrator Supervisor (SAS) OR School Building Leader (SBL) OR be currently enrolled in a SBL program with a minimum of six (6) hours completed. (Candidates will be expected to complete the SDL requirements prior to receiving tenure.)
  • Minimum of 5 years teaching experience

Applicants will demonstrate these desired qualifications for the position:
  • Experiences with NYS Learning Standards, including the Common Core Learning Standards (CCLS)
  • Experience in curriculum development, curriculum mapping and development of assessments
  • Experience teaching with a variety of engaging strategies
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Application (Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher)
  • Expertise in Integrating Technology into the classroom
  • Experience in teaching the adult learner and facilitating group knowledge
