0.5 FTE Teaching Assistant - Maple West Elementary

Dates of assignment: ASAP - 6/26/19 (annual appointment)

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid NYS certification in Elementary (B-6 preferred)
• Experience teaching elementary, preferably grades K-4
• Experience with the implementation of the Common Core standards, NYSE ELA and math Modules, and instructional strategies.
• Experience implementing Common Core aligned units, lessons, and assessments.
• Effective classroom management skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum, including planning, execution, and evaluation of materials, supplies, and lessons.
• Strong math and literacy background.
• Character traits necessary to teach young children - Enthusiasm, warmth, and dedication.
• Ability to differentiate instruction.
• Strong Communication and teaming skills.
• Technology skills.
• Lifelong learner
