Essential Functions and Objectives:

Responsible for managing the business activities for a cohort of 3-4 schools. With minimal guidance and supervision and a high degree of autonomy, provides support by processing all financial transactions including payroll, procurement card, and requisitions. Strategizes with school leaders with regard to solutions surrounding Human Resources hiring and posting procedures and options. Completes monthly analysis and reconciliation in order to process entries and correct any errors (budget transfers, journal entries) as well as keep detailed records for all transactions in an organized and standard system. Consults with Financial Partners and school leaders regarding strategic decision making and financial planning.

- Works in a higher independent and autonomous environment. Must be self-accountable and works with little direction and guidance. Collect, review, and process financial information and create necessary financial reports. Maintain all aspects of a school\u2019s business transactions ensuring accurate and timely processing. Provide input to financial partners and administrators to aid in developing a complete and integrated budget that includes all funds available to the school.

- Provide oversight for the following financial and human resources processes: accounts payable/receivables, purchasing/receiving, pcard program, payroll, grants administration, posting positions, journal entries and ledger, and account reconciliations, while maintaining high levels of accuracy and integrity as well as following district and federal regulations.

- Analyze business operations, staffing requirements, financial commitments, and obligations in order to project future expenses and provide advice.

- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with financial services and other departments.

- Act to consistently ensure the accuracy, confidentiality and security of designated financial records with minimal supervision. Keep financial partner and/or school leaders informed of all exceptions, variances or violations to established rules.

- Provides guidance to school leaders and acts as liaison to the following district departments and/or functions on behalf of schools, providing broad direction as well as individual support and management:

- Food and Nutrition Services

- Technology Services

- Transportation

- Student Services

- ECE/ELA/GT

- Demonstrate cost consciousness and fiscal responsibility while performing the duties of this position .

- Provide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance.

- Gain and update job knowledge to remain current and informed regarding policies and procedures within the District with little formal training by engaging many stakeholders and other opportunities for personal growth.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- Minimum of two years of experience in budgeting and accounting, utilizing automated systems.

- Skillful attention to accuracy and detail; possess mathematic aptitude and proficiency with budget tools.

- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and specialized accounting and budgeting software.

- Knowledge of basic accounting and mathematical operations required for the position.

- Ability to develop new processes and identify improvements.

- Ability to perform detailed calculations and stay focused on the project.

- Ability to travel to site locations as needed.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
