Purpose and Scope
The HR Talent Associate (Instructional) collaborates with team of HR Business Partners and Talent Specialists to ensure all school-based vacancies are effectively and efficiently filled and candidates are on-boarded according to required guidelines. Provides strong day-to-day support for prospective and current employees with inquiries regarding employment issues. Researches, compiles data for and prepares various statistical, administrative and/or financial reports as needed.

Essential Job Functions
1.Collaborates with the Human Resources (HR) team to ensure all school-based vacancies and substitute pools are effectively and efficiently filled and candidates are on-boarded according to required guidelines.
  • Posts approved school-based vacancies to the District's applicant tracking system.
  • Accurately enters, updates and tracks vacancy, hiring and on-boarding data into applicable HR databases.
  • Processes candidate recommendations, performing required checks to ensure candidates meet minimum qualifications as outlined in the District approved job description for applicable positions.
  • Coordinates the distribution, collection and completion of new hire paperwork and creates completed candidate files for loading into the HR database.
  • Supports orientation and fingerprinting sessions for new hires.
  • Assists the HR team with operational and administrative support in the execution of key staffing processes including reclassification, promotions, demotions, RIF's and layoffs.
  • Assists in the recruitment, screening and on-boarding of school-based staff.
  • Ensures all new hires are equipped to begin new positions successfully from day one.
  1. Provides strong day-to-day support for prospective and current employees with inquiries regarding employment issues.
  • Ensures all employees and candidates receive helpful, courteous and responsive customer service addressing their questions, concerns and needs.
  • Serves as the primary customer service point of contact for candidates and staff.
  • Ensures high quality services and efficiency of assigned areas and makes suggestions for process improvements to the Manager of assigned area.
  1. Researches, compiles data for and prepares various statistical, administrative and/or financial reports as needed.
  2. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.


Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field required OR four (4) total years of HR or related work experience. PHR or SPHR certification preferred. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).

Degree Equivalency Formula :

Bachelor's Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master's Degree = 2 years plus required years of experience. Where Master's degrees are required, years for Bachelor's Degrees must be included.

Physical Requirements and Working Environment
Physical Demands : Requires sedentary work involving standing or walking for brief periods, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis; and some dexterity in operating office equipment; must be able to use hands and fingers.

Unavoidable Hazards : The position is exposed to no unusual environmental hazards.

Sensory (ADA) Requirements : The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision, hearing and speaking abilities.
