Essential Functions and Objectives:

The Senior Manager of Culture and Engagement will lead the assessment, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of Values Based Leadership programs, and district-wide engagement efforts.

The Senior Manager is skilled at leveraging current efforts and strengthening them into a progressive leadership development strategy, demonstrates a passion for life-long learning, is a collaborative leader in professional learning and engagement, has experience working with team members at all levels of an organization.

The Senior Manager is committed to helping make DPS the best place for team members to learn, grow and have a positive impact. They will lead a team of program managers and report directly to Executive Director, Equity and Culture.

- Gain credibility and work cross-functionally within the organization to develop partnerships and identify opportunities for collaboration to proactively increase organizational effectiveness and execution of employee development bodies of work.

- Assess and design/strengthen management and leadership development programs to drive professional growth and accountability across DPS, ensures content is aligned to growth and performance frameworks, and identifies and incorporates lessons learned and best practices into streams of work.

- Serve as the lead facilitator of Values-Based leadership development programs.

- Manage and develop facilitators and other content experts throughout the organization to deliver high quality development programs.

- E stablish targets and performance metrics, analyze performance and follow up to ensure achievement plan is attainable.

- Is flexible in the modification of programs as needed to support the evolving needs of DPS.

- Implement blended learning models/methods to ensure learning is accessible and effective.

- Lead the identification, selection and implementation internal and external resources- including vendors and manages budget and vendor agreements.

- Partner with and support district succession planning and performance assessments to identify opportunities for development of team members- including high potential individuals.

- Maintain a current knowledge of the latest and most effective learning systems, programs, techniques and technology.

Knowledge, Experience & Other Qualifications:

- 2+ years of experience with developing and delivering professional development and managing organizational change initiatives.

- 2+ years of management experience.

- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations.

- Strong organizational and analytic skills and strong attention to detail.

- Superior leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.

- Ability to develop and interpret data and manage resources.

- Ability to motivate and influence others.

- Ability to effectively lead a team.

- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook.

- Ability to multi-task and juggle management of several high-priority projects in parallel.

- High degree of integrity in handling confidential information.

- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, including the ability to lead a high-performing team.

Education Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Development or related field.

- Master's Degree is preferred.
