Position Objectives:

The Social Media and Content Coordinator creates and maintains a strong online presence for Emily Griffith Technical College through social media, as well as assists with content creation and internal communications.

T he Social Media and Content Coordinator will develop original content and suggest creative ways to attract prospective students and promote our brand. Ultimately, the Coordinator should be able to increase web traffic and customer engagement metrics aligned with the College's broader marketing strategies.

Essential Functions:

1. Create engaging text, image and video content for social media; oversee College social media accounts; facilitate online conversations with customers and respond to inquiries; report on online reviews and feedback from students and fans

2 . Develop an optimal posting schedule considering web traffic and customer engagement metrics; suggest new ways to attract prospective students; maintain a consistent brand and message across all platforms; engage with social media influencers, referring agents, and other organizations through social media

3 . Research audience preferences and trends; stay up-to-date with changes in all social platforms ensuring maximum effectiveness

4 . Measure web traffic, social media engagement and monitor SEO

5 . Train co-workers to use social media in a cohesive and beneficial way

6 . Assist marketing team in planning and producing a variety of content, including articles, photos and videos; assist with regular updates to the website, printed materials and other editorial content

7 . Assist with internal communications, including weekly email newsletter

8 . A ssist in building and maintaining email marketing communications, digital advertisements, and other tasks as necessary

Education & Experience:

Minimum of Associate's Degree and 1 year of experience with social media management; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
