The Grant Program Coordinator assists with all areas of Arizona Head Start and Early Head Start grant implementation and compliance. The Grant Program Coordinator supports all administrative requirements of both LCG and the grantor, and provides the schools with expertise on curriculum and training requirements specific to Arizona grant programs. The Grant Program Coordinator visits and observes grant classrooms, and provides feedback, coaching, and formal training to teachers and other field staff.
 
This is a part-time opportunity (20 hours per week).
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular compliance audits and support schools in meeting compliance standards.
  • Partner with schools to perform roster checks, gather meal counts, assemble in-kind reports, and provide reporting to Sr. Grants Specialist.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with all of the AZ field team including RM, DM, school staff and management, and other members of the Grants team to offer the best support for grant programs and action plans to meet highest quality in program and compliance.
  • Build and maintain relationships with grantor(s).
  • Work with schools on grant supply orders, including approvals and invoice reconciliation.
  • Provide regular effective communication to Director of Funding and Sr. Grants Programs Specialist to support program implementation and improvement.
  • Provide schools with expertise on implementing programs in alignment with state and local initiatives/requirements.
  • Visit schools to observe classrooms and provide support, feedback, and strategies for improvement, including the writing of action plans.
  • Partner with the field team and other members of the Grants team for rollouts of training initiatives.
  • Attend meetings with LCG team and grantor as necessary.
  • Additional grant projects as assigned by the Grants Program Supervisor.
 
Job Requirements:
  • At least 2 years of experience in early childcare, grant implementation, or accreditation management preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred; grant management, early childhood, business, management focus preferred.
