You will be expected to quickly learn and understand processes, keep information highly organized, work efficiently, and demonstrate strong attention to detail. The Manager, Technology and Inventory Procurement drives operational efficiency and cost savings by working with key stakeholders across the corporation to identify and negotiate for enterprise software, SaaS licensing, IT hardware, and technology professional services. This role provides sourcing and negotiation support to Business Units in alignment with corporate strategies and initiatives. The role is also responsible for strategic sourcing/purchasing of inventory to ensure shipping schedules and customer demand are met.
AS Manager, Procurement, YOU WILL..

  • Lead centralized procurement strategy, policies, and procedures and drives change throughout greater organization;
  • Drives the technology sourcing needs and contract negotiations;
  • Creates and implements innovative solutions to lower corporate operational structural costs.
  • Secure and analyze supplier quotes (RFP/RFQ) for inventory and services as needed; negotiate prices and terms with these suppliers; recommend suppliers with respect to cost, quality, and delivery competitiveness
  • Evaluate forecast with finance to schedule procurement of raw material and ensure on time delivery of the materials
  • Communicates forecasts and delivery plans to supplier.
  • Reviews open orders, monitors vendor performance and expediting where necessary to prevent customer back orders
  • Sources, qualifies and enlists preferred supplier base for key goods and services;
  • Builds, leads and manages supplier relations; including internal key stakeholders
  • Manages preferred supplier base vendor relations;
  • Collaborates with Finance to ensure smooth downstream efforts in payables, GL posting and month-end close.
    Supervisory ResponsibilitiesDirectly supervises 1 - 3 Full-time Equivalent (FTE) regular employees and/or contractors. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

  • Develops, gathers, and publishes Purchase-to-Pay Key Performance Indicators (KPI's); Tracks purchasing activity, throughput and quality metrics;
  • Identifies and implements user training efforts in support of corporate purchasing policy;
  • Understands options and risks associated with procurement or supply chain activities
  • Implements change management on projects that results in cost savings across company
  • Support legal in all aspect of contract management system

Requirements
Minimum Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree(s) AND
  • Ten (10) years of procurement, vendor management, or contracting experience AND
  • Five (5) years of specific technology procurement or related vendor management experience AND
  • Five (5) years of people management experience OR
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience
OTHER REQUIRED Qualifications:
  • Ability to lead effectively within a heavily matrixed environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with proven ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business experts
  • Entrepreneurial drive and a demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast paced environment
  • Strong financial acumen
  • Willingness to be relentless in the pursuit of excellence
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project,); Web proficiency.

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Ability to pass required background check
