Superintendent--Peoria Unified School District #11, Glendale, Arizona

The Peoria Unified School District #11, Glendale, Arizona, Governing Board, is seeking a highly qualified and fully certified Superintendent.  The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position July 1, 2020.

McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the governing board in identifying and screening the candidates.

Location: 10 miles northwest of Phoenix

The Qualifications

The candidate must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for excellence in educational leadership. The board recognizes that selecting a superintendent is one of the most important decisions it will make. The board has identified the following desired characteristics:

Requirements

· Sound financial and business experience

· District-level administrator experience

· Building-level administrator experience

· Proven record of improving student achievement and success

· Teaching, curriculum and instruction experience

· Current superintendent certificate

· Demonstrates a high degree of character in choices and actions

· Embodies characteristics of a highly-effective leader that builds a strong organizational culture

· Makes data-driven choices to positively impact the district

· Awareness of local, state and national political climate

· Doctorate degree
