Position Summary:

The Compliance Coordinator will support the Assistant Director of Compliance with timely and accurate reporting and compliance at the city, state, and federal levels. They will be responsible for knowing all relevant reporting requirements, submitting information by scheduled deadlines, and checking all reported information for accuracy and completeness.

Their primary responsibilities include reporting student and staff data to Pennsylvania Information Management System ("PIMS"), NJ Standards Measurement and Resource for Teaching (NJ SMART), the School District of Philadelphia, and Camden City School District.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Data Management
    • Ensure that NST and school administrators maintain current and accurate data in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey data information systems.
    • Partner with identified NST and school staff to build an actionable checklist / calendar for all relevant reporting requirements.
    • Work with NST and school administrators to collect, enter, and verify the accuracy of data for each report submission.
    • Identify inaccurate or incomplete data and work with staff who own the data to make necessary corrections.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting
    • Learn about relevant regulatory requirements for Mastery at the city, state, and federal level.
    • Stay up to date with new and changing requirements by attending relevant trainings, reading new postings, and contacting officials for clarification.
    • Ensure that all relevant reports are filed accurately and on time.
    • Provide technical assistance to schools on filing procedures and tools.
    • Ensure that all required documentation related to reporting is maintained in an easily accessible location for internal and external audits.
    • Provide data reports for grants and other requests on an as-needed basis.
    • Perform other tasks as needed to assist Compliance Team members


Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree required
    • Experience in data management and reporting
    • Experience in K-12 schools desirable
    • Experience with school information systems highly desirable


Qualifications:
    • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Microsoft Excel a must
    • Strong math skills; strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Attention to detail in all things including data checking, editing, scheduling, communication, etc.


Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to physically perform the duties and to work in the environmental conditions required such as traveling to network campuses and maneuvering in office space-reaching file cabinets, filing, faxing, coping, typing, mailing, and making phone calls; Must be able to sit for up to six (6) hours looking at a computer monitor, using a keyboard and mouse and typing.
