Seeking a full-time 1 year only long-term substitute visual arts teacher to teach beginning to advanced art courses to grades 9-12. The successful candidate will possess a strong art background and prior experience working with a variety of media, sculpture and ceramics, including hand building and throwing on the potter's wheel. Subjects taught are Art I Foundations, Applied Arts, and Ceramics (levels I and II). The ideal candidate will foster a love and enthusiasm for creative thought and application of processes. In addition to being an excellent teacher, the professional should be an avid investigator of the world, recognize others' perspectives, communicate their ideas effectively and be an active participant in our school and community.
