Job Description:

Camelot Education is excited about continuing our school in partnership with the Harrisburg School District. This campus consists of three alternative education programs: Middle & High School Accelerated and Transitional programs, as well as a K-5 program.

We are recruiting creative, compassionate, caring educators to join our staff, eager to help our students excel academically and achieve post-secondary success. We are currently accepting applications for a Elementary School Teacher (4th and 5th grade students) for the 2019-20 school year (and beyond!).

Students are supported by a team of professionals that include credentialed teachers and behavior management professionals. The focus of these programs will be to keep students on track to graduate and in our Transitional program, to successfully transition them back to their regular campus to achieve success.

Our Elementary Teachers are responsible for designing and providing instruction in accordance with curriculum planning and timing guidelines. Elementary Teachers also conduct frequent and appropriate assessments to determine student understanding. They work closely with other instructional staff, support staff and administration with a focus on producing favorable academic outcomes and a positive school climate.

Camelot Education is a nationally recognized organization providing educational services to children and adolescents throughout the United States. Camelot has 40 campuses located in six states and is continuing to grow. Camelot provides Alternative Education services to inner city schools for children who have dropped out of school, been expelled or at risk for either.

Experience and Skills:

• Current Pennsylvania Teacher Certification in K-5
• Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
• Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong interpersonal skills preferred
