Job Title: Coordinator, Enrichment

Department: Department of Extended Learning & Community Schools

Location: Steele Elementary School

FTE: Part-time (25-30 hours a week)

Schedule: Monday - Friday, Hours vary

Hourly Rate: $17.00

Position Objective:

The Enrichment Coordinator oversees the day-to-day operations of a high quality on-site before and/or after school youth enrichment program(s), which includes building site enrichment systems and supports. Implement the philosophy of Department of Extended Learning and Community Schools (DELCS) and aligned to the Denver 2020 plan, to faculty, staff, parents, visitors and the community. Ensure that Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care and/or District policies and procedures followed. Commitment includes:

Essential Functions:

- Establish and maintain high quality site enrichment programs

- Ensure success of program through the use of positive youth development strategies.

- Ensure program, enrichment offerings and curriculum delivery is implemented for children in an enriching, engaging and enjoyable manner.

- Oversee and manage enrichment providers at site which includes scheduling, creating course catalogs, rosters and onboarding enrichments to sites policies.

- Support Extended Learning Supervisor in completing Scopes of Works for all enrichments sessions and verification of invoices.

- Oversee registration and scheduling for enrichment providers

- Manage enrichment attendance records and students roster with enrichment providers.

- Responsible for ensuring families receive information on all upcoming enrichment events including family nights, registrations, enrichment fairs and Camps.

- Assist Extended Learning Supervisor and Regional Senior Supervisor or Manager to maintain and/or increase enrichment program enrollment

- Work with Extended Learning Supervisor and internal nurse consultant to be aware and share with Enrichment Providers information regarding student's medical and special needs and appropriate care necessary.

- In collaboration with Enrichment Specialist, manage and input site specific data.

- Assist in providing on-site training, and coaching new staff members to create a harmonious and efficient working environment.

-Provide enrichment information to weekly school newsletters to families.

-Responsible for the day-to-day operations when the Extended Learning Supervisor or Regional Supervisor is not there.

-Provide accurate and timely information on program operations as requested.

-Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Licensure and Certification:

Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook calendar. The ability to learn SchoolCare Works and time management system.

Education Requirements:

- Associates degree preferred OR minimum of 30 college credit hours. Preferred areas of education: Education, Youth Development, Humanities or related fields.

- Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills. Self-motivated. Basic computer skills.

- At least 21 years of age (due to Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care Rules and Regulations)

Knowledge, Experience, & Other Qualifications:

- Must have at least three (3) months (or 460 hours) of satisfactory and verifiable work experience with school-age children.

- Must be able to become trained in First Aid, CPR, Medication Administration and Standard Precautions Certified.

-Demonstrate organizational and problem-solving skills.
