Coordinator II, Get2Green

Plans, manages, and coordinates program activities and personnel of the Get2Green section in the Office of Facilities Management; develops, implement, and assess effectiveness of activities of the section. Coordinates Get2Green initiatives, programs, outreach, website, and the collaboration of personnel across multiple FCPS departments engaged in sustainability activities such as sustainable construction, grounds maintenance, food and nutrition, recycling, energy conservation, and environmental stewardship education. Coordinates support for student-driven sustainability projects, including those done through the Eco-Schools USA program.

Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by course work in the principles, concepts, and methods of sustainability, engineering, energy, environmental technology or public policy, plus six years of progressively more responsible experience in the energy/environmental/sustainability field, some of which shall have been in a supervisory or leadership capacity. Can demonstrate knowledge of theories, procedures, practices, materials, and methods of the Get2Green section; familiarity with applicable regulations, legislation, policy, and office operational procedures; and ability to manage and supervise program activities and personnel.

May be required to supervise work or programs at more than one site and after regular business hours. Valid driver's license is required.
