Position Title: Paraprofessional
Reports to: Case Manager / School Director
Position Summary: Under general supervision, performs a variety of technical and clerical tasks in assisting the lead classroom teacher. Employee may perform a wide range of tasks in order to support the efforts of the lead teacher, meet the needs of all students, and ensure the provision of quality instruction for all students. The teacher assistant provides one-on-one assistance with academics and behavioral problems and may lead small group activities; assists lead teacher with general housekeeping and clerical duties; may serve as substitute in the absence of the lead teacher.

Job Qualification
· Illinois Board of Education Paraprofessional License
· Experience in urban education settings is preferred
