Role Mission: IDEA Permian Basin's Recruitment and Staffing Intern will provide the Regional Director of Staffing with the administrative, logistical, and communication support needed to achieve all recruitment and hiring goals in one of IDEA's newest regions. This is ultimately to ensure there is an excellent teacher in every classroom and an excellent leadership team leading every school and that they have strong support & regional staff members helping them achieve their all-important work.

  • 100% of all campus instructional roles are filled with an "IDEA Ready" candidate by the first day of their relevant work calendar or summer PD.
    • Help maintain data tracking systems that will allow the regional director to gauge progress toward weekly benchmark and end of year hiring goals
    • Lead execution of logistics for recruitment & hiring events (set up, prepare materials, on-site support, take down, etc)
    • Provide technical/logistical support needed for the regional director to effectively screen candidates
    • Lead execution of logistics for super interview days

  • Attract 3 x number of high quality candidates for each projected instructional role to the IDEA Permian Basin region
    • Represent IDEA (alongside the regional director) at career fairs and other events to attract large groups of talent to IDEA.
    • Under the direction of the regional director, leverage social media and other mechanisms for communication to attract and engage prospects.
    • Help the regional director to identify 4 external events to engage in each month
    • Support the regional director with local and national partnerships for sourcing candidates
    • Help maintain a calendar of recruitment events.

  • Support the Recruitment and Staffing team with ongoing reporting and job entry support
    • Provide the Recruitment and Staffing team with requested data reports from Jobvite
    • Review and post new job requisitions on third party websites
    • Regularly identify new venues for posting job requisitions

  • Average 98% weekly task list completion throughout the year
    • Check in with regional director of staffing regularly to review tasks needing attention
    • Provide administrative support to the regional director of staffing (and, at times, other members of the regional team)
    • Follow through on projects to successful completion, often with deadline pressures
    • Independently manage the many small, though important, details for project and task execution

    • Salary for this role is $10/hr.
