Hourly Position
FLSA: Nonexempt
Hours/Week: 20, Hours/Day: 4.00, Days/Year: 185
Salary Plan, Grade, Step: Preschool hourly 185 days
Hourly Rate: $14.54
Hourly rate may vary based on early childhood work experience and education.
RESPONSIBILITIES
SUMMARY: Provides direct classroom instruction using district curriculum and state mandated assessment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Attend all district trainings. Attend all on site staff meetings, planning sessions and staff development.
Plan and implement, as designed, all components of curriculum.
Complete assessment training modules within specified timeframe.
Complete observations to evaluate student progress using district approved assessments. Document all observations and assessments in district approved system. Online recording of data and observations is required.
Apply appropriate instructional strategies as required and designed in curriculum.
Work collaboratively with co-teacher, special education staff, curriculum coach, classroom volunteers and all other school employees.
Share all classroom responsibilities equally with co-teacher, including: classroom environment, weekly planning, preparation of materials, and upkeep of classroom.
Full participant in all classroom components including: small group activities, large group, centers, outside time, parent conferences, staff development and work directly with children throughout the preschool day.
Prepare for and conduct parent/teacher conferences a minimum of two times per year.
Facilitate communication among students, team members (including co-teacher, other teachers, special education team, curriculum coach and director) and parents.
Maintain updated requirements of Early Childhood Teacher as defined by the Colorado Department of Human Services
Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High School diploma and Early Childhood Teacher qualifications through Colorado Department of Human Services. Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum one year teaching experience with preschool children preferred. Experience with curriculum and assessment preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: Must have current CPR and First Aid, or complete within 60 days of hire date. Early Childhood Teacher (former Group leader) qualified as defined by licensing regulations through Colorado Department of Human Services. Must complete TRAILS report by the first day of employment - fee charged.
