TITLE:K-4 Teacher Assistant

Supervisor: Principal

Work Schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:45 - 3:15; Friday 8:00 - 1:00

Annual Schedule: September 25, 2019 - May 29, 2020

Pay: $17.50/hour plus health/dental and PERA retirement benefits

SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION:
Supports K-4 teachers with planning and instruction aligned with the Colorado Academic Standards. Supervises assigned students and maintains a positive learning environment. Adapt instruction to meet the individual learning needs of all students resulting in an increased probability of advancing their achievement. Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, staff, and community members.

SUPERVISED BY: School Principal/Assistant Principal

ESSENTIAL JOB ELEMENTS:
  1. Push-in support teachers with 5 th -8 th grade math curriculum.


  1. Support the after school homework club for 5 th -8 th graders, two days each week.


  1. Participate i n group meetings focusing on student learning and individual growth goals/goals.


  1. Participate in the development and enhancement of a school-wide culture that promotes professional growth and student


  1. Provide supervision in the lunchroom/playground and during recess and


  1. Teach to an identified learning objective, presents content accurately, implements a variety of instructional strategies, checks frequently for student understanding, and monitors student
  2. Adapt instruction to meet the learning needs of all students thus increasing the probability of advancing their Uses analytic tools to break down NWEA and PARCC testing data to drive instruction.
  3. Promote and maintain student behavior expectations conducive to learning and maximizing learning


  1. Establish and demonstrate positive relations with students, parents, other staff members, and the


  1. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, confidentiality, and security of all student


  1. Comply with School policies and


  1. Other duties as

QUALIFICATIONS:
  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Active teacher authorization or license issued by the State of Colorado,
  3. Active Colorado substitute license required.
