PURPOSE OF JOB: The purpose of the Transportation Support Analyst is to provide assistance to the Director of Transportation by supporting and managing certain contractors and being responsible for processing billing from various contractors. The Analyst will ensure compliance with contract specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Billing Responsibilities:

Review and process for payment monthly billing in conjunction with data provided.

Communicate with contractor personnel to ensure accuracy of monthly billings.

Review contracts, specifically language relative to revenue and liquidated damages, to gain a full understanding of all billable services.

Ensure master billing templates are in accordance with contracted routes and/or services, rates and other billable items contain correct formulas.

Maintain records of monthly billing files and calendars.

Prepare monthly reconciliation of actual monthly invoicing to final billing templates.

Other duties upon request.

Operations Responsibilities:

Provide support to the Director of Transportation on day-to-day operations.

Monitor daily operations to assure that work is performed efficiently and in accordance with appropriate regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Resolve or escalate daily operational problems and emergencies while coordinating with the Director of Transportation on complex problems.

Establish and maintain positive customer relationships with parents, schools, and departments.

Coordinate with transportation contractor staff/management, schools, and customers on start of school protocols and resolves concerns.

Coordinate and provide input in transportation services, routing and scheduling efforts.

Other related duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School diploma or equivalent

1-2 years of related experience, particularly with service contracts and accounts payable

Experience with MS Office products, with advanced Excel expertise

Keen attention to detail.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to manage and organize work assignments, styles, and relationships with several managers.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience and knowledge of the student transportation industry

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:Length of work year: 12-Month 7.5 Hours/Day
