By expanding and securing new flexibilities, resources, and opportunities, BPS has invested in schools in impactful ways. The Boston Public Schools is seeking a Manager of Partnership and Development to implement the district's strategy to increase equitable access to high-quality opportunities provided by School-Community Partners.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates all communication and event planning to support annual appeal
  • Manages the donor database and prospect research
  • Serve as the point of contact and recruiter of volunteers ; and support the coordination of necessary approvals.
  • Co-design and lead events management
  • Support the annual update of the partnership landscape and data through Partnership BPS and subsequent data management tools
  • Co-lead , implement and manage the Principal Partners initiative
  • Serve as the district liaison and project manager for the Boston Saves initiative managing and coordinating all district work with schools and collaborating departments
  • Serve as the district liaison to recruit appropriate BPS stakeholders for opportunities provided by external partners
  • Ensure equitable distribution and tracking of in-kind donations to schools and district offices
  • Support the ED as the second point of contact for business and corporate partners
Qualifications - Required:
  • Three to five years experience in education program development, advancement and/or related fields
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Communication, Liberal Arts/Humanities/Social Sciences, and/or Education,
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency with database manipulation, Microsoft Office Suite, Google workflow, and social media platforms
  • Ability to adhere to a long range strategic plan keeping day to day operations smooth
  • Demonstrated poise in meeting and managing short term and long range deadlines
Qualifications - Preferred:
  • Bilingual or multilingual
  • Proficiency in Salesforce
  • 5+ years in the education program development, advancement and/or related fields
Terms: Managerial Tier C. City of Boston Residency is Required.
