The Compliance and HR Administrator obtains, and audits Florida teacher credentials, and centrally-maintained State -required background check clearances. The Compliance and HR Administrator ensures timely responses to Florida State and district reporting while maintaining data integrity.

AS A HR AND COMPLIANCE ADMINISTRATOR, YOU WILL ENJOY...
  • Responsible for meeting all State and district reporting deadlines required by regulatory entities, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Serves as the Florida subject matter expert including providing teacher data, process information, and responding to time-sensitive client requests. Verifies data accuracy, remediates errors, identifies error patterns, and supports the resolution of systems or process breakdowns.
  • Develops and performs periodic audits, remediates data and document errors, and implements and enforces systems and processes to ensure compliance, data integrity, and consistency
  • Collaborates cross-departmentally to ensure recruiting, onboarding, and retention includes verification of applicable instruction requirements.
  • Proactively and regularly communicates solution-focused human resource compliance and business processes improvements with applicable stakeholders.
  • Develops systems, and processes to track required compliance items such as teacher certifications, State -required background check clearance (when permissible), etc…
  • Serves as front-line human resource compliance expert for clarification on teacher credential maintenance requests and issues.
  • Updates Employee Handbook ensuring that policies are comprehensible, and updated
  • Supports Human Resources and Compliance, and Human Resource Business Partners or Managers. Completes other special compliance, and human resource projects as needed. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Creates and provides summary reports, as requested by Human Resources and Compliance for review by leadership;
  • Develops and implements processes to reliably track data;
  • Communicates with clients, internal business partners, and external regulatory entities;
  • Maintains compliance calendar;
  • Serves as a subject matter expert on Florida operations; AND
  • Monitors and is attentive to the industry's regulatory environment, and its impact on the company's operations.
  • Proactively and regularly identifies updates to employee handbook(s) ensuring that policies are clear, current, and accurate.

Are you driven by excellence to deliver instruction, support and guidance, manage the learning process, and focus on students' individual needs? If selected, you will participate in a comprehensive new teacher training program for three weeks before the start of school. It is an opportunity to meet colleagues and learn the responsibilities required for delivering curriculum in an online environment. During this training you will also learn how to monitor student progress through K12's learning management system, and to be a partner actively working with students and parents to advance each child's learning.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree AND
  • Three (3) to Four (4) years of experience in school compliance and human resources;
  • OR Equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • AND the ability to travel 10% of the time
  • Certificates and Licenses: None required.
OTHER REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Desired Qualifications
  • Public school audit experience
  • Prior experience in K-12 academic credentials, and State -background check requirements
