Full-time (1.0 FTE), 10 month position starting August 2019.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 15 pound items and to push or pull heavier items. It also requires good vision, hearing, and speech for safe and effective communication. Also requires ability to provide own transportation and may include some overtime.

Purpose:

Responsibilities:
- Communicate with Hispanic parents on a daily basis via phone calls, emails and face to face interactions.
- Provide translating of district and school documents designed to inform parents such as letters, bulletins, announcements, calendars, notices, webpage information, articles, flyers, newsletters, community resources communication, etc.
- Translate parent visits to the office when a Spanish-speaking parent needs support speaking with office staff, the liaison will be asked to translate.
- Increase parent and family involvement in schools and establish effective communication between home and school with Hispanic families.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Fluent in SpanishPrevious Spanish translation experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent2 to 3 years secretarial or related experience preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work with a minimum of supervision
