Please note that this position is based out of our Dudley Square location, will be for 2-3 days a week between Mondays and Thursdays, from 7:45am - 9:15am.
 A Part-Time School-Based Morning Fitness/Gym Instructor at a City on a Hill School has the following responsibilities:

• Lead a variety of physical movement activities such as sprints, sport, dance, yoga/pilates, creative movement to develop fine and gross motor skills, fitness, games, individual and team sports  
  
• Embody and demonstrate a supportive, positive character
  
• Develop a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment
  
• Build rapport with students
  
• Incorporate Emotional Intelligence goals such as sportsmanship, self-efficacy, and best effort
  
• Set and hold students to high behavior standards
  

 
Secondary Duties

• Maintain and store any gym equipment
  
• Select appropriate equipment when necessary

Required Qualifications:

• Belief that every student, regardless of background, can and must achieve academically at high levels
  
• Bachelor's Degree and minimum 1 year of related experience
  

  Preferred Qualifications:

• Preliminary MA teaching certification or working toward earning MA certification
  
• Experience preferred, particularly in an urban setting
  
• SEI or RETELL endorsement
