The Hawaii State Department of Education seeks an individual with visionary leadership and strong administrative skills for the following position: 

The Assistant Superintendent/CFO oversees the Hawaii State Department of Education’s accounting, budget, and procurement activities and systems as well as the Hawaii Child Nutrition Program to serve the needs of schools, complex areas, and the state central offices.
 
Under the direction of the Assistant Superintendent/CFO, the Office of Fiscal Services is responsible for the following:
Developing and implementing long-term and short-term financial activities;
Leading the DOE's accounting, budgeting, and procurement operations;  
Providing timely, accurate, and user-friendly information and reports that are aligned with the DOE's goals and objectives in each of the respective areas;
Overseeing the Hawaii Child Nutrition Program to provide compliance oversight of School Food Authorities (SFA).

The salary for this position will be in the range of $150,000 and will include an excellent comprehensive benefits package. The final salary for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications and meeting Board criteria.
