Buffalo Hearing & Speech Center currently has an opening at our Buffalo location in our Oral Deaf School for a full time Teacher of the Deaf (TOD).
The TOD would be working with students who are deaf/hard-of-hearing to build listening and spoken language skills. The teacher works as a member of a multidisciplinary team in developing and implementing goals for each child's Individualized Education Plan. Parent involvement and education is an integral part of this classroom as well.
This position may be in a 12:1:1 classroom or a combined Early Intervention classroom/ community position to be determined for the upcoming school year.
Requirements
-Bachelors or Masters degree from an accredited college or university as a Teacher of the Deaf.
-Current NYS Teaching certification as a Teacher of the Deaf
