About New Visions AIM Charter High Schools

New Visions AIM Charter High Schools are small, close-knit, family-oriented communities where dedicated staff members work to ensure that over-age, under-credited students graduate from high school, thoroughly prepared to excel academically, professionally, and personally. Whether students have previously struggled in school or are at risk of dropping out, the schools provide the supports, experiences and opportunities to help them excel academically and graduate high school.

New Visions AIM Charter High Schools are a part of New Visions for Public Schools, an education organization that, since 1989, has worked to ensure that all New York City public school students, regardless of race or economic class, have access to a high-quality education that prepares them for the rigors of college and the workforce. We’ve pioneered the model of small high schools in New York City, creating nearly 140 new district high schools across NYC and currently operate the largest charter high school network in New York City, with 10 charter high schools in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens. We produce free open-source curriculum used by thousands of teachers in New York State and across the country; and run a nationally recognized Urban Teacher Residency program to train new teachers. Today, the New Visions network supports more than 187,000 students enrolled in nearly 350 district and charter schools across New York City.
