This position is intended to provide technical capacity to the school in relation to managing the Transformation Plan.
Responsibilities:
  • Maintain school's Transformation Plan and MAGs Tracker, including weekly updates that incorporate status reports from other school teams or staff, flagging any tasks behind schedule, and indicating any requested/required support from central office.
  • Collaborate with school leader and other teacher leaders to update the Transformation Plan as new strategies, approaches or action steps are developed throughout the year.
  • Liaison with the Office of Turnaround and Transformation to ensure accurate insight of central office into the work of the school related to the Transformation Plan.
  • Participate in an August/September Retreat to receive training on the designated tracking platform for the Transformation Plan, learn about sound project management principles, and establish an update schedule for the fall.
  • Participate in once a month, 30 minute status checks with the Office of Turnaround and Transformation (via Google meet) to clarify any Transformation Plan updates, receive feedback on implementation of this role, and problem solve any challenges.
  • Participate in a May/June Retreat to debrief the role throughout the year, participate in a Transformation Reflection process and close out the Transformation Plan.
  • Assist the school leader in communicating about the content of the plan with other staff members and stakeholder groups as requested.
Qualifications Required:
  • Staff member at the school
  • Stated strong motivation to contribute to whole school improvement

  • Robust understanding of existing strategies, programs and stakeholders at the school, especially Transformation Plan
  • Strong relationships with multiple school staff, including school leader, and ability to leverage those relationships to access information and updates needed for the Transformation Plan
