The After-School Teacher (Site Lead) will assist principals and after school teacher tutors in providing effective after school programs. Provides support and recommendations to the After School Program Manager (ASPM) to ensure that best practice is followed at all times.
Performance Responsibilities:
    • Monitors daily operations for all after-school instructional programs and activities
    • Plans and supervises all instructional and enrichment program activities
    • Ensures the safety standards are followed for a safe and secure environment at all times
    • Communicates with principal, staff members and families on all program activities
    • Reviews and submits required student evaluation/assessment and attendance reports
    • Supervises and trains instructional staff to ensure compliance within the grant is followed at all times
    • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
    • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
    • Must be well organized
    • Knowledge of After School Programs and Activities
    • Knowledge of Age Appropriate Enrichment Activities
    • Knowledge of 21 st Century Grant Program
    • Knowledge of school safety and security procedures
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and academic software applications
    • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
    • Ability to perform general management and supervisory duties
    • Ability to work without supervision
    • Ability to complete all required paperwork within the designated timelines

Requirements: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
� Bachelor?s Degree required
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
� T5 ? T7 Georgia Certification preferred
WORK EXPERIENCE:
� 3 years of successful teaching in a classroom setting and/or 1 year of administrator experience working in After School Programs.
� Atlanta Public Schools (APS) Employee preferred

Compensation: Salary Range: $30.95 an hour
Work Days: Hourly

This position will not exceed 29 hours a week.
