We are seeking a Childcare Workers with early childhood (infants- 5 years) and/or school age (6-12) childcare experience to implement lesson plans as well as manage activities for children and parents who participate in The Baby College program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Child Care Worker and Family Service Coordinator with maintaining the childcare room by ensuring supervision of children at all times.
- Assist in the preparation of the childcare curriculum.
- Work with the children through play and educational activities to promote learning.
- Assist with field trips and special activities and events.
- Promotes nutritional diet and exercise programs.
- Provide feedback to the Family Worker Manager on the needs of the children.
- Attend the weekly childcare meeting and monthly staff meeting.
- Participate in training seminars conducted to enhance and develop one's skills.
- Regularly assess safety and well-being of all the children.
- Ensure that quality services are being provided to children and their families
- Create and execute lesson plans to engage children in learning lessons and art activities
- Organize and develop educational, recreational, and cultural activities for children between the ages of 0-5 years old
- Participate in agencywide events
- Track and report the academic, social, and emotional progress of individual children, including daily observations and information about activities, and meals served
- Provide assistance during family visits
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements
- A commitment to the mission and programs of HCZ
- Associates Degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Early Childhood/Childhood Education, Social Work, Psychology, or Sociology preferred
- Experience working in a classroom setting
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Must be available to work Tuesdays - Fridays, between 11:00 - 4:00 pm OR 3:00 - 7:00 pm; and Saturdays between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm; ability to work flexible hours required
- Bilingual a plus (English/French, or English/Spanish)
