The After School Paraprofessional (ASP) will provide assistance to certified teachers with classroom organization, management, instructional strategies, daily pre-planning and enrichment activities.
Performance Responsibilities:
  • Provides assistance to an assigned after-school teacher tutor (ASTT) with academic and enrichment components for the after-school program
  • Works individually with assigned students to ensure that each student benefits from the assignment or task
  • Assists the ASTT with the preparation of program materials as it relates to daily lesson plans
  • Make copies and prints materials for classes
  • Monitors students and assists with after-school snack time
  • Assists administrators and other staff members in the orderly, expedient and safe transition of students from classrooms to bus area
  • Assists with training volunteers and guide assigned groups as requested
  • Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator
  • Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated

Requirements : MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION:
� High School Diploma or GED required, and Para Assessment test, or minimum of 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours of college coursework
CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:
� Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate
WORK EXPERIENCE:
� 2 years of experience with After-School Programs and Activities or working in an after school setting preferred

Compensation : Salary Range: $13.50 an hour
Work Days: Hourly

This position will not exceed 29 hours a week.

FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
