Join National Heritage Academies (NHA) as a Science Curriculum Specialist supporting the Ohio, Michigan or North Carolina region. This position will report directly to the Manager of Science & Social Studies - Curriculum & Instruction and will be responsible for supporting schools in curricular needs relating to professional development, programs, assessment development, resources and documents.

In this role, you will be a Service Center / remote employee preferrably based in Ohio, East Michigan or North Carolina and will travel around to support the various schools. The NHA Service Center is where all the behind-the-scenes magic happens. Our 400 brilliant team members are brag-worthy. With a diverse group of departments like admissions, talent acquisition, facilities, legal services, and many more working together to provide top level back-office support. Your Role

• Provide curriculum and assessments for Science teachers
• Actively track and evaluate the effectiveness of created resources
• Provide professional development for Science teachers
• Collaborate with school leadership to observe, model lessons, and coach Science in NHA schools as requested
• Research and promote best practices in assigned content areas
• Maintain and enhance current projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Education is required, Master's degree preferred
• 4-10 years of teaching experience preferred
• Experience presenting to adult learners
• Ability to work independently
• Extensive experience working in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
• Excellent communication skills is essential, both written and verbal
• Candidates will preferrably be located in Ohio, East Michigan or North Carolina
• Ability to travel as required - 60% of time, mostly in Ohio & North Carolina with occassional overnights
