High School Spanish Teacher (1.0 FTE)
Seeking a dynamic Spanish teacher who is willing to share their passion for the Spanish language and French-speaking cultures of the world with high school students. The ideal candidate will engage students in rigorous and appropriate target language instruction aligned with the National Standards for Foreign Language Learning in the 21st Century and ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. The candidate should have experience in creating and administering performance-based instruction and assessment aligned with the national and state standards.
Requirements: K-12 certification in Spanish is required; Spanish & French certification is preferred; Advanced-Low Oral Proficiency in Spanish as measured by the ACTFL Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) preferred; Excellent interpersonal skills in order to collaborate effectively with colleagues and other educational support staff.
