New Haven Public Schools is looking for a VISUAL ART TEACHER at Truman School. CT (047) Art EducatorpreK-12 certification required. This is a kg-8 th grade art position.

Candidate will be expected to:

• create lessons and units that align with the National Core Arts Standards and the district Visual Art Scope and Sequencework as part of a art teamwork as part of an interdisciplinary Arts teamcollaborate with cross curricular academic teams to create units and support the school's academic and instructional initiativescollaborate with district departmental colleagues and participate in all NHPS Visual Art initiativesdifferentiate instructionactively contribute to professional learning community and support efforts to achieve school wide student performance goals

Responsibilities include:

• teach Visual Art to grades K-8engage all students in rigorous music learning that encompasses higher order, critical thinkingready student artists for immediate success in art classes at the next levelteach Visual Art elements, concepts and skills as aligned with NCASexhibit quality student work in the school, district and community
