Family Aide, GRADS Early Head Start

We are seeking Family Aides with early childhood (infants-5 years) childcare experience to enroll and work closely with families' who have participated in The Baby College program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Recruit, evaluate, enroll, and familiarize eligible families with GRADS Early Head Start Program
• Assess client needs in order to develop and implement plans to meet those needs
• Research external agencies and programs involved in, and collaborating toward the same goals
• Coordinate and refer services of community resources, placement providers, and/or collateral agencies
• Create and record basic case notes
• Provide assistance during family home visits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Development/Education or related subject area; Bachelor's degree with CDA (Childhood Development Associate) preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Bi-lingual (Spanish and/or French) applicants are encouraged to apply
• Familiar with the Harlem community and resources available in the community
