Job Summary
Assists the Assistant Superintendent in achieving programmatic effectiveness in the operational aspects while maintaining compliance with all applicable federal, state and local guidelines. Provides leadership for and directly participates in all operational phases from initial project design through summative evaluation, with a particular emphasis on delivery of support to schools. Acts as a resource person for menu of supports for itinerant and site-based District personnel as well as for staff from various community-based partner or contracted agencies.
Essential Functions
Acceleration Network Specialty
  • Coordinates programmatic activities and supports the Assistant Superintendent in providing guidance to the Principals.
  • Serves as the central office point of contact for each school.
  • Works closely with the Director and Principals to develop a calendar of support opportunities.
  • Oversees calendar of support opportunities and comprehensive record keeping system related to the support opportunities.
  • Works closely with other departments to coordinate services to schools.
  • Assists with the collection of data and evaluation of the program's effectiveness; works with Information Technology to compile reports and statistics; assists with the analysis of service delivery and student progress; disseminates the information to schools.
  • Supports the Assistant Superintendent in providing oversight for the federal dollars allocated to the office and works to develop a long-term fiscal sustainability plan for grant-funded activities.
  • Coordinates with the Office of Grant Development on annual reports required by the Pennsylvania Department of Education as well as on the development of renewal applications at the end of the year.
  • Maintains appropriate records and files on all program activities to maintain compliance with federal guidelines; submits reports in accordance with predetermined timelines.
Minimum Requirements
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience in project management or program implementation involving grants.
OR
  • Any equivalent combination of training and experience determined to be acceptable by the Office of Talent.
Acceleration Network Specialty
Demonstrated knowledge of:
  • the methods and techniques utilized in effective program planning, design and administration.
  • social media methods and techniques
  • accurate record keeping.
Ability to:
  • make and successfully implement policy decisions affecting all program components.
  • exercise sound judgment and discretion interpreting and implementing program goals and objectives.
  • effectively develop reports, presentations and documents in Google for network use.
  • analyze data, prepare reports and maintain records.
  • coordinate professional development activities.
  • effectively develop, maintain and update the network social media sites
  • use a personal computer for word processing and data management.
  • effectively communicate, both orally and in writing.
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships.
