Qualifications:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to completion of a bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics or a related field, plus two years of progressive professional social services experience. Registered dietician certification highly desirable. Thorough knowledge of nutrition-related federal and state laws; good knowledge of community health and proper nutrition for expectant parents, infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their families; good knowledge of and ability to keep current in the fields of early childhood development, health, and nutrition; ability to plan and organize a program workload; and ability to maintain effective working relationships with a variety of people including many from outside the school division; knowledge of documentation procedures; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships; and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
