TEACHING AND LEARNING SPECIALIST

Austin Preparatory School, located in Reading, Massachusetts about 15 miles north of Boston, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Teaching and Learning Specialist. Founded in 1961, Austin Prep is an independent co-educational Catholic day school in the Augustinian tradition for students in grades 6-12.  There are 740 students enrolled in the school. The Teaching and Learning Specialist provides oversight of the cohort of students with documented learning differences. He/She will assure that the accommodations needed for those students are being met by the teachers, students, and parents of that cohort. Additionally, the Teaching and Learning Specialist will train the faculty - individually and as a whole - in best practices and in the implementation of specific accommodations.  This position supports central tenets of our mission: unitas and caritas, or, unity and love. The candidate is expected to also be involved in the extracurricular life of the school.

Qualification Requirements: Bachelor’s degree required; master’s or above preferred.  Minimum 3-5 years experience working in a school setting.
