POSITION TITLE: Human Resources Coordinator
REPORTS TO: Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Safety, and Athletics
LEVEL: Exempt/12-month/Administration
SALARY: $55,000.00- $68,000.00
Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator will manage the day-to-day operations of the Office of Human Resources, Athletics, and Safety. The coordinator coordinates implementation of services, policies, and programs through Human Resources staff and advises the administration about human resources-related issues. The coordinator performs professional duties while proactively enhancing an effective human resources program. The Human Resources Coordinator will facilitate the execution of an effective teacher induction, establish and maintain a recruiting and mentoring program for non-tenured teachers, coordinate new teacher orientation, and facilitate substitute training. The coordinator shall serve as the primary contact and executive for all FLMA, unemployment, ADA, and general leave inquiries and requests as well as accurately and effectively complete and submit all State and Federally required reports and documents.
Qualifications/Requirements:
The Human Resources Coordinator assists the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Safety, and Athletics with the day-to-day operations of the office. When required, s/he will assume select duties of the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Athletics, and Safety in his absence.

- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Leadership, or related fieldEffectiveness in interacting with personnelHigh degree of proficiency in oral and written communicationStrong organizational skills
- Master's or higher degree in human resource management or related fieldPrior successful work experience performing human resource related tasksExperience with teacher mentoring, coaching, and professional developmentExperience as a building, central office, or HR administratorHuman resource-related certification(s) (ie. SHRM)
- Manages various human resources plans and procedures for all personnel;Manages, provides approval, and communicate with employees regarding the Tuition Reimbursement Program and Lane Change Requests;Coordinates staffing needs in accordance with approved ADA accommodations;Processes, executes, and communicates all leaves of absence (ie. ADA, FMLA, Board LOA, etc.);Prepares Board reports including, but not limited to, Hourly, Personnel, and special projects;Assists with investigations and processing of investigative matters as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent;Collaborates with new teachers and mentor teachers, conducting monthly meetings, and collects data while prioritizing the needs of the district;Advises employees regarding HR programs, practices, and procedures;Assists with candidate application inquiries;Works with Human Resources Staff to update Information System records and compiles reports and database;Ensures compliance with appropriate federal and state regulations;Assists with the recruitment of the best qualified teachers and other professional personnel;Assists in the pre-screening, hiring, and on-board process of new hires,Coordinates New Teacher and Substitute Orientations and assists in the development of onsite professional development and coaching;Assists in the preparation and dissemination of vacancy information;Reviews all teaching applications and determines eligibility for employment, including the appropriateness of licensure, checking of references and review of criminal history;Assists hiring managers with District hiring processes and protocols;Reviews hiring recommendations with the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources, Athletics, and Safety;Oversees and ensures the execution of District's hiring process from initial application to Board recommendation for employment;Interprets and communicates to school employee personnel policies, regulations, and practices;Assists Assistant Superintendent with assigned projects;Effectively completes District and State Reports; and,Performs other duties as assigned related to the efficient operation of the Office of Human Resources, Athletics, and Safety.
