Responsibilities:

• Provide a nurturing, educational and child centered classroom
• Follow the Policies and Procedures set out by the Program
• Prepare daily reports on children, communicate with parents when necessary and attend monthly staff meeting
• Attend: professional development training as specific
• Implement daily, weekly, and monthly curriculum and observation/evaluation of the children program
  • Create child's portfolios used for parent-teacher conferences. Conduct parent-teacher conferences
  • Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• Minimum: Associates In Early Childhood, or college coursework that is equivalent
• Working knowledge and experience with implementation of the Early Learning Development Guidelines
• Knowledgeable of the CT Office of Early Childhood child care regulations and National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accreditation requirements helpful
• Have leadership skills that enables the candidate to lead a classroom, problems solving, engage with parents and staff, and be responsible for classroom management, implementation of curriculum, teaching assistants evaluations, reporting, etc.
• Working knowledge of working with diverse families

Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday - flexible schedule to be determined by the Director of ECE

Pay Rate: $17.00 Hourly/ Non-Union - NO Benefits
