- Collect funds and deliver materials to sites weekly.
- Count receipts and prepare deposits for the bank.
- Substitute in sites as needed.
- Other tasks as assigned by Program Managers.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Understands basic accounting and handling of funds.
- Able to make decisions regarding student behavior management.
- Able to supervise staff sites.
- Ability to communicate with families, teachers, supervisor staff, coordinators and others in an inclusive manner.
- Has knowledge of Danbury's families, the community and has the skills to be effective when working with them.
- Abilities to speak, read and write in English.
- Has excellent customer service skills.
- Willing to be part of a working team for program assessment and improvement.
EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
- Bilingual helpful
- Associates degree in early childhood, social services, teaching, CDA, or ParaPro test.
- 2 years experience in working with children or program management.
- Experience with handling of funds and basic accounting.
- Use of Microsoft application such as Word and Excel and databases such as EZCare and CAYEN.
- Experience working with school age students and program planning.
- Must have reliable transportation as this positions requires the use of employee's car with mileage reimbursement.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Full time - 40 hours per week with benefits
- $19.00 per hour as per CSEA Paraeducators Bargaining Agreement
